I was recently quoted in a Forbes article about James Franco’s new venture to provide online film classes for $25. Check out the article here! Ben Fraternale, 22, is a writer and producer who believes that taking a class from a seasoned actor like Franco couldn’t possibly be a bad thing. “If even one morsel of wisdom makes its way through to someone, it’s probably worth that small fee,” he said. But there are some drawbacks. “By taking an online film class, you lose the human element of interacting, networking and building relationships with fellow students and faculty. But for someone just wanting to learn some fundamentals, $25 is a hard price to beat,” said Fraternale.
When USA Network announced they would be creating a fan-episode for the cult television show, Psych, I immediately got to filming. USA split the classic episode “Heeeeere’s Lassie” into many tiny chunks and fans could claim those scenes to remake. The best of those remade scenes were then edited by producers to create one Frankenstein episode. Thankfully, we were chosen, and the episode premiered on Hulu! Our clips starred Laura Pavlo, Dan Appenfeller as Lassiter, and me, Ben Fraternale, as Gus (easily our biggest stretch) I made a side-by-side comparison so you can see how faithful we were to the original:
